Expanded foam (polystyrene) crushing system

The crushing system is designed for shredding polystyrene waste formed after cutting blocks to sheets and trimming along the edges. The principle of the hammer crusher, its power and structure rigidity allow to shred dense grades of expanded foam and molded foam. Wherein throughput of crusher does not decrease.

As a result of processing, crushed crumb (crushed particles) are obtained, which are used as an additive to the primarily foamed polystyrene granules in the production of polystyrene blocks. The grid installed at the outlet of crusher allows to obtain a smaller fraction of the “crushed particles”. The fan of pneumatic conveying system feeds the crushed particles into the special hopper (silos), where it is stored until mixing and using as a part of new formed block. While baking a block using a crushed particles, it is desired to observe a proportion of 1 x 8 (10).
