PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Processing of sheet expanded foam with a thickness from 20 to 100 mm and a density of 10-45 kg / m33

Milling is performed by machining with rotating profile mills. The profile of the mill is accurately transferred to the edge of the sheet, and the quality of the cut is ensured by a smooth adjustment of the mills rotation speed and the feed rate. The sheet is fed into the cutting section by rollers adjusted according to its thickness.

Shaping movements performed by the machine during typical processing operations are defined as follows:

  • the main movement, determining the cutting speed is the rotation of mills F1 and F2 with the velocity of VF1, VF2;
  • feed movements include moving the sheet SL1 along the rotating mills and moving SF1 and SF2 of the mills F1, F2 along the transverse edge of the sheet;
  • feed movements include moving the sheet SL1 along the rotating mills and moving SF1 and SF2 of the mills F1, F2 along the transverse edge of the sheet;

Setting the motion cycles of shaping the sheet edge allows to integrate the equipment into the manufacturing process of any productivity:

  • small-scale production - the sheet edge is processed in one cycle. Rotary mill F1 with the feed of SF1 processes the 1st (short) edge and stops in the end position, then the sheet with the feed of SL1 is fed through the rotary mills F1 and F2 processing the 2 long edge s of the sheet at the same time, after that the mill F2 processes the 2nd short edge of the sheet with the feed of SF2. Mills F1 and F2 return to their initial position, and the sheet is removed from the cutting section (SL2)

  • serial production - the sheet edge is processed with two reorientations. At the beginning, two long edges of the sheet are processed for the entire batch (in the flow, one sheet pushes the other), then two short edges are processed. The mill F1 is set to the size of the sheet width, and the sheet itself with the feed of SL1 is fed through the mills F1, F2 rotating at a speed of VF1 and VF2, respectively. After processing the entire batch on the long edge, the F1 mill is set to another size and the batch is milled on the short edge. Setting up the machine in this way increases machine productivity by 1.5 times, which results from a decrease in the basic time required for processing.

  • mass production. It is possible to increase equipment productivity up to 20% for large-scale production by reducing the time for reconfiguring a machine from one size to another. When building a production line, it is necessary to install several machines, each of which is configured for the long or short edge of the sheet. Keep in mind that the ideal solution would be one, in which the time of milling the long edges is equal to the time required to process the short ones (for example, 1 machine processes both long edges and the 2 downstream machines process the short ones).
